We’re all smiles with this example of a completely customizable care package to cheer up your friends while they’re social distancing. In this Level 2 Care Package, you can mix and match Bang-Up Betty stickers and pins and pick from two Lee Lee Arts and Design greeting cards with a handwritten message for your loved one.

Brighten someone’s day with a thoughtful “care package” that’ll bring a smile to their face. Whether your best pal is feeling down, going through something rough, or just deserves a special surprise, an unexpected gift is sure to cheer them up! It will definitely let them you know care about them.

We’re all thinking about and missing our loved ones right now. I’ve been getting so many thoughtful requests from people wanting me to make custom jewelry with empowering phrases for their pals who are taking isolation a little hard; for moms who are struggling to work and suddenly have to homeschool their children; for friends who have suddenly found themselves out of work. I thought it would be nice (and, yeah, maybe kinda funny) to create these “care packages” that make it fun and easy for you to send something special to whoever needs a little extra love right now (even if that person is you, I won’t judge).

With three tiers of care packages from $5 to $33, there’s a care package to fit every budget, and I also added an option for you to add one of these beautiful illustrated cards by Lee Lee Arts and Design to an order if there is something else on the Bang-Up Betty jewelry site you see.

Found the perfect gift and want to send a personal note with it? Add one of these illustrated greeting cards by Lee Lee Arts and Design to your order, and we’ll hand write whatever you like inside of it to send to someone special. You can take your …

Found the perfect gift and want to send a personal note with it? Add one of these illustrated greeting cards by Lee Lee Arts and Design to your order, and we’ll hand write whatever you like inside of it to send to someone special. You can take your pick from the “Love You To Death” or the “Get Your Happy On” card, and you’ll be prompted at checkout to tell us what you’d like your note to say.

With a Level 1 Care Package ($5), you get your pick of one (1) Bang-Up Betty vinyl decal to send with your choice of greeting card by Lee Lee Arts and Design. You’ll be prompted at checkout to select your card and sticker and to leave a note that I’ll hand write inside your card. For the shipping address, please be sure to put the name and address of the person you’re sending this sweet care package to or it’ll end up at your house! Maybe you want it there, and that’s fine. Self care is great!

Choose your card: Choose from “Get Your Happy On” or “Love You To Death” design

Choose your vinyl sticker: You get your pick from our entire vinyl sticker collection! See our shop to look at all of them. They include these stickers: Nasty Woman; Hands Off; Smash the Patriarchy; Don’t Tell Me To Smile; Witchy Bitch; I Believe in Science; Scratch the Patriarchy; Not Your Honey; I Wanna Dance With Somebody; Rainbow Unicorn; Strange Bird.

Handmade Matching Puzzle Piece Necklaces to Send to Your Missing Puzzle Piece

Whether you’re just really into working puzzles or you’ve got a special person who is your missing puzzle piece right now or all of the above, this handmade bronze puzzle piece necklace will soothe your soul. You can order just one necklace with one bronze puzzle piece or get a matching one to send to your missing puzzle piece person to brighten their day.

I’ve been working a lot of puzzles lately. I’ve also been really missing having a beer at a bar with my best friends and missing their smiling faces when they come to visit me at work at Stifft Station Gifts. It’s been a weird few weeks for everyone. Tomorrow marks 4 weeks of self-isolating for me and it’s also my business anniversary, which I usually celebrate with a big party with cake and drinks somewhere pretty where we can all get together and joke/marvel at how I’m still keeping it together, but this year the whole party has to be online (minus whatever dry-as-hell cake I bake in the toaster oven to improperly celebrate at home).

One way I’ve found myself connecting with people without physically connecting with them is through games. I’ve done several games of online bingo (public and private, join this group if you want to be in the know about my bingo games) to have fun and joke around and give things away to friends far and wide. I've been majorly failing at that drawing game in the House Party app (all line drawings are penises, sorry not sorry). I’ve been making my husband resent me by being a strategic asshole at Scrabble and Uno (also sorry, not sorry). And I’ve been getting a lot of therapy from working puzzles since I guess therapy is canceled too these days.

These necklaces are Inspired by all of the puzzles I’ve been working while self-isolating during the COVID-19 outbreak and all of the friends I miss and who I feel are my missing puzzle pieces right now. I took two fitting pieces from my favorite puzzle, a bunch illustrated birds with smug faces, and cast them by hand to make this bronze jewelry.

You can order just one necklace with one bronze puzzle piece or get a matching one to send to your missing puzzle piece person to brighten their day. I’m making them solid and with this pretty Art Deco pattern, and they also come on 18-inch or 20-inch chains, so there’s some versatility. When you buy one necklace for a pal and one for you, you get a discount off the set.

Thank you for supporting small businesses in the safest ways possible right now. I could go on about what a (not fun) rollercoaster ride this has been for every small business owner, but I’ll save that for another post because puzzles and friends are more fun to talk about.

If you can, join me for my online Bang-Up Bettyversary Friday, April 10, as we virtually celebrate seven years of snarky and sassy handmade jewelry made in Arkansas. Celebrate from the safety and comfort of your own home during this online anniversary party for Bang-Up Betty with giveaways and discounts on handmade jewelry all day.

I’m throwing a party at your place this week. Bang-Up Betty is celebrating seven years of stamping snarky jewelry and designing fun gifts and apparel in Little Rock, Arkansas! Usually there is cake and pin the horn on the unicorn, but since we're playing it safe and staying home this year, we're bringing the giveaways and discounts (arguably the best parts) safely to you via the internet. Mark yourself as "going" to this online celebration so you'll get notifications for our giveaways and discounts April 10! And George Meowchael might stop by and say hello.

Thanks for continuing to support small businesses in the safest ways possible during the COVID-19 outbreak! Use code HOMEBODY for free shipping on orders over $35 at www.bangupbetty.com, and custom necklaces and mantra cuff bracelets are 20% off or more right now. You can also always select free pick-up at our local Little Rock location inside Stifft Station Gifts.

How the giveaways and discounts are going to work: I’ll hop onto the event page throughout the day to post the giveaways and discounts. You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the United States to win a giveaway. Giveaways not associated with Facebook. Other rules will be stated in the individual giveaways.

Usually we have cake and pin the horn on the unicorn at Bang-Up Betty birthdays. Here are cupcakes from years past! Maybe there will be an announcement about lapel pins on Friday ;-)

Can I take a moment to reminisce about my Bang-Up Betty birthday party from two years ago? Ok, cool. Because I worked all day long the day before the party making a UNICORN-SHAPED cake with my niece Lilla for the party. And when I wasn’t looking Betty the cat (RIP, baby) jumped onto the counter and ATE WHOLE CHUNKS OUT OF IT. I miss his furry antics. He loved cake. And bread. Who could blame him?

Anyway, come to my online party and celebrate with me! It doesn't feel like I’ve been making jewelry for seven years, but I have. It’s come a long way. And I’m excited to be rolling out lots of new jewelry designs soon.

Here’s the event page again if you missed it: https://www.facebook.com/events/693674498107084/

Fuse Bead Starter Kits and Free Patterns to Cure Quarantine Boredom

Stacey Bowers

Running out of crafts to keep you busy while social-distancing? We’re offering a limited number of starter fuse bead kits and free patterns to give you something creative to do while we wait this out.

Running out of crafts to keep you busy while social-distancing? We’re offering a limited number of starter fuse bead kits and free patterns to give you something creative to do while we wait this out.

We’ve heard a lot of grumbles on the internet from people running out of crafts to do while self-isolating, so we decided to create these fun, easy crafting beginner kits for fuse beads so that you can have all the things you need to make cute, crafty ornaments, decor, jewelry, or whatever else your creative mind can invent. After hosting an adults-only and a kid-friendly class last year with this craft, we can confirm that it’s a whole lot of fun for kids and adults. We’ve broken up the kits we used in class last November so that you can carry on making things at home!

Order your kit here!

What your kit will include:

1 square ironing peg board

1 reusable sheet of ironing paper (it lasts a long time if you’re gentle with it and lay it flat between use)

10 fun spring patterns

A hefty assortment of colored fused beads to get you started (you can order more online)

My ironing tips for how to get the best results when applying heat (you’ll need your own iron and ironing board)

Please keep in mind that this craft is intended for ages 6 and up and that only adults should ever do the ironing part. Our not-so-family-friendly patterns shown in this image are available for free below. Just print them out and place them under your clear peg board and you’re ready to bead! Print them at 100% size (you may still fiddle with the size some to get them to line up under the pegs. You can also just count beads). Want to take the Christmas out of them? Just make the hat brown or change up the top of Santa Poop and leave the star off the leaf.

Are you already fusing things? Please send me pics. I WANT TO SEE!!

Looking to learn a new creative craft? Join us for one of our many classes and workshops, held at Stifft Station Gifts in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sweet and Snarky Jewelry Made in Arkansas for Your Valentine

Stacey Bowers

Matching “My Person” hand-cast bronze friendship necklace set from my spring, Valentine’s Day mini collection.

Matching “My Person” hand-cast bronze friendship necklace set from my spring, Valentine’s Day mini collection.

Maybe I’m a little biased, but I think handmade jewelry is the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. From a jewelry designer’s perspective, it’s so fun to work with people to create something perfect and unique for their loved one. When I’m designing jewelry for myself, of course I’m going to add a pinch (maybe more) of humor to the mix. Then I throw it out there and hope you like it and retreat quickly in case you don’t (Please don’t throw rocks at me over a boobs necklace). So here’s me throwing out a mini-collection of spring and Valentine’s Day handmade jewelry I’ve been working on. I hope you like it.

Every piece of jewelry in this collection was molded by hand by me and kiln-fired right here in Arkansas, complete with gold-filled chains or ear wires that are made in the USA.

Winter Solstice Collection: Spirited Jewelry Handmade in Arkansas

Bang-Up Betty’s Winter Solstice Collection features handmade bronze charms in supernatural shapes. Luxurious bronze charms have a glowing finish, good weight and are finished with gold-filled chains.

Bang-Up Betty’s Winter Solstice Collection features handmade bronze charms in supernatural shapes. Luxurious bronze charms have a glowing finish, good weight and are finished with gold-filled chains.

The Winter Solstice is Dec. 21, but I’m celebrating a little early at Bang-Up Betty by releasing a mini-collection to match the mood of the longest night of the year.

The Winter Solstice collection is perfect for the spooky at heart and elegant enough to be worn year-round. Every charm in the collection is handmade in bronze, so they have a luxurious, substantial feel and glowing bronze finish. Most pieces come in a variety of patterns and with or without cubic zirconia touches, so there’s something for every level of glam.

Handmade bronze Ouija planchette necklace with or without text and cubic zirconia touches. This charm just feels good to hold, and it hangs on a 20-inch gold-filled chain to give it a little extra length.

Spooky humor is the best humor. It wouldn’t be Bang-Up Betty without a morbid joke here or there. The “Dead Inside” bronze coffin necklace was the first creation in this collection and inspired it all. If you’re feeling slightly livelier than “dead inside,” the solid bronze option is elegant and subtle.

In the Dead Inside or solid bronze coffin necklace, you’ll be the daintiest ghoul in town. Like my coffin-shaped trinket dish? I made that, too. You can find a selection of them at Stifft Station Gifts in Little Rock or ask me about what’s in stock …

So many people have asked me for an homage to Arkansas, so I created my own Arkansas charm in three options: woodgrain Arkansas, water wave Arkansas, and “Diamond State” Arkansas. Diamond State Arkansas has a cubic zirconia in the center as a nod to the Natural State’s other moniker.

Some people also call the Natural State the Diamond State because of its diamond mine. Either name you prefer, I think Arkansas is pretty and wanted to make something pretty to show it off.

We’re a little bit batty at Bang-Up Betty (we being the cats and I). Bat fever induced me to create this matching set of gold-filled, oblong hoop earrings with tiny, dainty bronze bat charms and tiny bronze bat necklace. It’s hard to pick a personal favorite from this collection, but this tiny bat necklace really has me smitten.

I’m completely batty for this tiny, dainty bronze bat charm. The matching bat earrings are cute, too!

I’m not big on crushing spiders (can’t say the same for the cats). I think they’re just has beautiful and fascinating as the prettiest butterflies. This cubic zirconia-accented spider charm is just about the prettiest spider I’ve ever seen. If sparkles aren’t your thing, it comes without the extra flair.

This cubic zirconia-accented bronze spider probably weaves the loveliest web.
